How to make a white sauce

- 1 Sauce pan
- 1 Spatula
Materials
- ¼ Cup Butter
- ¼ Cup Flour
- 1 Cup Milk
Instructions
- Step 1.Bring your saucepan to a medium heat and add a chunk of butter. About 2 tablespoons. The butter will start to melt.
- Step 2. When all the butter has melted, sprinkle the flour into the pan. Start to stir the flour in as soon as it hits the pan. Keep stirring. This will form a gooey mixture we call a “roux”.
- Step 3.Now add the milk little by little into the pan. Always keep stirring. Once you’ve added all the milk, keep stirring. After a while your sauce will start to thicken. Voila! You have made a white sauce.Now that your sauce has thickened you can add salt andpepper and pinch of nutmeg for make it taste even better.
